Those Eyes
Two stark eyes stare a world of longing
soot black lashes softly stinging
Two stormy gems of smothered pleadings
heart's capped fire in
Those dark eyes...
Sapphire jet coppery-amber marbles
Green waterfalls that softly tumble
Like rusty wine in sparkling goblets
Those dark eyes...
Messaging unwary bleeding passion
Earthing your current to safe pretensions
Shot gold threads of silk desire
Those dark eyes...
Rueful highlights of pain glossed shadows
Drowsy afternoon's soulful shuttered windows
Slated for wiping and erasing memoirs
Those dark eyes...
Looking through hungry glass of the haunted soul
These twin apertures become mute wailing walls
Sunlight swallowed up and swimming sinking into dead
dreams behind
These dark eyes...
An enchantment a true spell so binding
Wizards wands starts to do their bidding
A starry night a dark goodbye
...In
Those dark eyes.
